One of the most hotly tipped bands rumoured to headline Tennent’s Vital 2012 have ruled themselves out of the running. Snow Patrol who have played two outdoor concerts at Ward Park in previous years admitted that they would like to come back but it would not be for 2012.
Nathan Connelly made the statement in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph before their current tour kicked in support of their new album ‘Fallen Empires’
“Maybe there’ll be another Ward Park, we are talking about it,” he said. “But it won’t be this year.”
Having seen Snow Patrol live on many occasions including both concerts at Ward Park we know that they can put on a good show. Are you disappointed that they won’t be appearing at Tennent’s Vital 2012 or are you happier that someone else will have the opportunity to amaze the crowds?
Belsonic line up was a joke! Get someone worth seeing….except tdcc, they’re unreal
pull your finger out and get the stone roses to bangor. they are an obvious choice
Yes very disapointed….I have seen Snowpatrol at the Odyssey this year and before at Ward Park they are just amazing live. Not many bands could be better.
The first gig was awesome really made by the excellant supporting line up, the second was average and the support was rubbish. Anyone attending both said the first was vastly better.
Maybe in a few more years but they have just played 3 sell out gigs at the Odyssey.
Lets have the Foo Fighters !!!!!!!!!!
